To bend the risers, we apply very much the same technique used to make a bullnose. That is we make kerfs at the back of the riser and bend it. The specially made tread is secured together with the riser. We cut the bowed treads on our automatic CNC machine which expedites the entire stair project considerably compared to a manual process.
